Our Training and Education department continues to broaden its services to customers and manufacturers with the hiring of David Glendenning, EMT-P as Clinical Applications Specialist. In conjunction, the department has been renamed Education and Clinical Services. The expansion to include Clinical Services reinforces our commitment to providing education and clinical support, as well as strengthening our "DNA" of being led by and dedicated to EMS/Fire professionals.
A highly-respected educator, author and national speaker, David has been in EMS and Fire roles for 25 years, including 20 years as a paramedic. He is also a sought-after consultant for EMS systems looking to improve delivery of care and clinical outcomes. He comes to us from New Hanover (NC) Regional Medical Center where he was Education and Outreach Coordinator.
David is a NC Level 1 Paramedic Instructor, an Advanced Stroke Life Support Instructor associated with the University of Miami and an Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor–AHA. He has been published and has presented on numerous topics at both state and national levels.
"This new role deepens our commitment to our manufacturer partners by reassuring them we have dedicated staff that can speak to the clinical use of their products, offer top-notch clinical education and provide continuing education to our sales and customer service teams," said Southeastern Emergency President Carla Baker, NRP.
David reports to Todd Baker, NRP/CCP, who has become Director of Education and Clinical Services.
